Invercargill to the Cosmique Arete

The Cosmique Arete on the Aguille du Midi in Chamonix is probably one of the most famous and oft trodden routes in the massif. It's photogenic, has different styles of climbing on it and is easily accessed by the telepherique. Paul flew in from New Zealand (via the UK) for one day only having proposed a few days earlier to the lucky Mary. After falling prey to Le Delice's draft beer the previous evening we suffered in the sun (and for Paul the altitude) but finished in good style and ended the full on Cham experience at Poco Locos as an afternoon thunderstorm drenched the town.
