Rock Climbing in North Wales

After a series of unlucky weekends of weather I finally hit a good one with high pressure sitting over the whole of the UK. I went to the north facing mountain crags of North Wales to avoid the sun (not common in the UK!) and climbed a clutch of classics. We started on the 'dark side' of the Llanberis Pass on Dinas Mot climbing 'Super Direct' and 'Plexus', both E1. The next day we caught the train (!) to the hallowed crag Clogwyn du'r Arddu which saves a 90 minute walk and is the connoisseurs route to the crag. We climbed the infamous 'White Slab' E2 which is a great line up a big cliff. The route follows natural cleaving slabs to the top and involves a serious 1st pitch (for both leader and second), a 'lassoo' pitch and miles of 5A slab climbing.
