ML and WGL Training

Typical bank holiday weather (persistent wind and rain) met the candidates on the ML and WGL Training I've just directed. We were based out of Halton Camp and the course was provided by the Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training. The ML is six days long and looks at group management in mountainous terrain, navigation and emergency procedures amongst other things. If you're involved in DofE or Scouts for e.g. then the WGL (Walking Group Leader) is often a more appropriate award and covers a similar syllabus but in less serious terrain (and is only three days long)
