ML Assessment Course

Images from a wet and wild Mountain Leader assessment course. Over 5 days we managed half a day of good weather, the rest of the time it ranged from merely damp to torrential rain and wind.

As well as looking at practical aspects such as emergency ropework, navigation, group leadership, campcraft etc the ML looks at wider issues. The candidates were asked to prepare a lecture and topics included the weather, access and conservation, the history of fellrunning (where I learnt to tie my shoe laces) and the life and times of Millican Dalton, the Professor of Adventure.

Northern Mountain Sport has one more ML assessment this year (1 - 5 Dec with one space left) and one ML Training (13 - 18 Dec with 3 spaces left). Ring or email first please to confirm the spaces are still available.
