Rock climbing in France and Switzerland

Images from a cooler week in the Chamonix Valley, with snow down to lower levels and morning frosts. The British Mountain Guide Alpine Assessment takes place next week soRob and I (who are taking the test) have spent our time off rock climbing on the limestone of the Arve Valley and microgranite of Gietroz. Autumn is a fantastic time to be in the Alps with a quieter atmosphere around the normally manic Chamonix and improving mixed conditions on the big faces.
