Swiss 4000'ers

Images from a 6 day Mt Blanc preparation week working for Martin Moran. During the week we did a training day on the Ferpecle Glacier and then climbedf L'Eveque from the Vignettes Hut. This peak is given F in the AC guide but due to glacial recession is more like PD with a short rock step and ridge scrambling to the summit. We then moved from the Val D'Herens to the Saas Fee area (Mischabel) for further acclimatisation and 4000m peaks. We climbed the Allalinhorn 4027m via the Hohlaubgrat and descended the normal route to the Langflue Hut where we climbed the Alphubel 4206m via the SE Ridge (Eisnase). This acclimatisation programme ensures that clients get the best possible chance of summiting Mt Blanc next week (weather permitting!)
