Dent Blanche

Images from the third week working for Martin Moran, this time with Andy Teasdale on a 'Swiss Big Three' course. The aims of the two week course are to complete the triumvirate of the Matterhorn, Eiger and the enigmatic Dent Blanche. This mountains easiest route of ascent is the South Ridge (AD III) which has to be both ascended and descended in around 7 - 12 hours depending on fitness, conditions and acclimatisation (the peak is 4357m). We based ourselves out of the Dent Blanche Hut and everyone summited on a windless day.
