Winter Mountaineering & Climbing in Scotland

A busy eight days after my Guides Winter test now means I need new legs (or at least a couple of days off). Images from a Winter Mountaineering course I directed for Plas Y Brenin (National Mountain Centre) who base their winter programme out of Ballachulish and two days private guiding on Ben Nevis. Ben Nevis traditionally comes into condition mid to late season and this year is no exception. We climbed North East Buttress (IV 4) and Hadrians Wall (with a variation onto 'Sickle') (V 5), both 'Cold Climbs' classics.
