I've been aware of One percent for the Planet through Yvon Chouinards company 'Patagonia' and the singer Jack Johnson for a number of years but am really pleased to be in the position now to join. There are now over 700 members worldwide and the organisation is growing at the rate of one new member a day.

I am constantly grateful that my career has given me an incredible lifestyle (and continues to do so) but equally that every action has consequence. Northern Mountain Sport's activities are intrisically linked to the natural environment and I feel that this is a small step forward in making change.

1% For The Planet® is an alliance of businesses that understand the necessity of protecting the natural environment. They understand that profit and loss are directly linked to the health of our environment. In addition, these businesses are concerned with the social and environmental impacts of industry.
