wet on the west

Richard & I have spent 3 days climbing in the Nevis/Coe region. We had hoped to tick a load of classic dry rock but unfortunately our trip coincided with some appalling weather. We braved winter conditions on the Ben climbing 'Direct Route' on the Douglas Gibson Boulder (Tower Ridge) clearing up to 4 inches of wet snow and hail of the holds. IV 4 would be a more realistic grade than V Diff! We spent the next two days in Glencoe and climbed 'North Butress' on the Buachaille and 'Barn Wall Route' on Aonach Dubh. We both decided to call it a day a little early and reconvene in sunnier climes!
