winter climbing in the northern corries with UCLAN

For the second year running I've worked with students from the Penrith (Newton Rigg) Campus of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) in the Northern Corries. I've always enjoyed these few days and the lads are invariably 'up for it'. We had challenging conditions but made the most of them spending the first day honing mountaineering skills and ascended Fiacaill Ridge (II), the Fiacaill Coulouir (II/III) on the second and finished with the classic Runnel (II) on the third.
