Green Gully

On monday Michael and I took advantage of the continuing good weather and conditions and climbed two great ice routes on Ben Nevis. Firstly, we climbed Green Gully (IV 4). This is one of the finest routes of its type on the Ben and an amazing acheivement for the time of first ascent.
As we climbed quickly we decided to descend Number 3 Gully (I) by abseil and downclimbing and finish up Winter Cascade (IV 5). A great day on the Ben!

pulling over a steep ice bulge on Green GullyI possibly wouldn't climb Gardyloo Gully at the moment.....abseiling into Number 3 Gullyfinishing Winter Cascade IV 5, after the icefall
