This is a great free software application hosted by E2BN. It allows pupils to select backgrounds and characters placing speech bubbles and using recorded sound. Your school will become part of a wider community of schools who already publish their work to the web.

Click on Record your story and then click Join for free. in the search box type Gateshead and Gateshead CLC will appear. on the left fill in your school name and create a password. This will make you part of Gateshead CLC and you can then use the full application.

This is absolutely fab stuff. So easy to use. Can't wait to try it out in our next narrative unit. I also like the pre recorded myths and legends on the main site at http://myths.e2bn.org/mythsandlegends/

I used this programme today with a Y6 class. They absolutely loved it and were really excited. Im using a wonderful sentence from the New Strategy to spend quality time using this programme. It reads " Polish and 'publish' the story outcomes (remembering electronic possibilities such as Internet posting, podcasting)" Sounds like a good excuse to me !

There is now an article on the ictGateshead Learning Platform called 'How to use Story Creator 2.' This should help you to have a go. I'll be very surprised if you don't think its great !
