We had a fantastic BBC School Report Day here at the CLC. Our young reporters from Dyden School, Whickham School, Thomas Hepburn School and Ryton School researched stories based on the theme of Education, past, present and future and then presented live web tv broadcasts streamed over the Internet. The day culminated in a broadcast education debate led by students from Ryton school with a panel of guests which included Professor Sugata Mitra, the Mayor of Gateshead and Cllr Donovan.

The hard work paid off as we had 2 BBC TV crews with us all day. We featured live on the BBC SRD website and we had 2 live reports for the BBC News Channel. BBC Reporter Razia Iqbal also fronted a package shot at the CLC which featured on the BBC News at 6pm and 10pm.
Well done to all of the students and staff who participated! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
