We came across Apture a little while ago and recently revisited it via a posting from our friends at weblogg-ed.com. It certainly makes one think of added value blog postings in an educational environment especially. Apture allows an approved site editor to quickly choose and add a range of web-based multi-media in the context of a selected word or phrase. Moving the mouse over the word/phrase produces a pop-up with the added/commented material. It is a neat post-production tool which encourages extending the learning or discovery of the original posting.
